Who is Katie?
Hi. I'm Katie. Your neighbor, friend, and council member I was elected to Oldsmar City Council in 2019. Since then, I've served as vice mayor twice and have worked hard to protect your tax dollars, reinvest in Oldsmar's infrastructure, and advocate for Oldsmar's families. What's important to you is important to me. I want to continue to advocate for you on the Oldsmar City Council.
My family moved to Oldsmar in 1990. Back then, Tampa Road was two lanes, the wooden Friendship Playground at R.E. Olds was brand new, and Oldsmar began to blossom at high speed.
Since then, our leadership and residents have created exciting momentum for Oldsmar. It's my goal to maintain that momentum and work hard to bring new businesses and development to our city while preserving our historic roots. We are a unique and progressive community that must continue to invest in the infrastructure that sustains our success.
I am a graduate of the Institute for Elected Municipal Officials, levels one and two, a continuing education program only for city officials to improve their skills and effectiveness in advocating for citizens. I'm also a graduate of Leadership Pinellas, class of 2021, which connects me to a network of the most influential and conscientious leaders in the County. I am a member of the Board of Directors for Leadership Pinellas as well.
I'm a mother and a practicing attorney. I'm a member of the Florida Bar, the Oldsmar Leisure Services Advisory Board, the Oldsmar Historical Society, the Oldsmar Woman's Club, and Friends of the Oldsmar Library.
If we aren't already friends, I hope to meet you during the next few months to find out what's important to you and how you feel about the city's progress.
Stop me in the grocery store. Find me in the park. Call me on my cell phone or knock on my door. Better yet, follow my Facebook page which I'll be updating with campaign news and events.
I'm here to be an advocate for you.
